Initial Pages window is too large and does not allow to resize

In Pages, Numbers and Keynote it is not possible to resize the initial window. It just open to large like it were two windows, but I only have my Mac, and I dont share screen with other devices on this MAC, so I do not understand why it is not working the resizing
