Apple One Family Perk through Verizon

I have the Apple One Family Perk through Verizon. I would like to change to Apple One Premier because I want more iCloud storage and I want the News+ subscription. If I cancel Apple One perk through Verizon and then just start the Apple One Premier plan is that all I have to do? Is it that seamless?
