How to recover $98.95 from an invalidly redeemed $100 Apple Gift Card?

$100.00 gift card couldn’t be redeemed. Reached out to Apple they said it had a hold for 98.95. Wait up to 2 days. I accidentally redeemed the $1.05. Now says invalid already redeemed. How do I get my $98.95 back ??? HELP

Seems you already spent that amount, and it needed the two days to complete the process.


Apple Support have an article online : What to do: If you can't redeem your Apple Gift Card, App Store Card, or App Store & iTunes Gift Card - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Card has already been redeemed

If you see a message that says that your card has already been redeemed, you may have already redeemed it. Sign out of the App Store or iTunes Store on all of your devices, then sign back in. This refreshes your Apple Account balance. Find out how to check your Apple Account balance."


NB: There is also other info. / advice in the above article.
