Apps automatically downloading with auto updates turned OFF in settings
Multiple Apps automatically installed just now but I turned off automatic updates in settings weeks ago.

Turn the setting back on, restart your iPhone and turn the setting back off. Often this procedure resets the setting to make it behave as intended.
