Will a soft-pull Apple Card show as a closed account on my credit report if I cancel iPhone purchase?

Hello all, I applied for the Apple Card to get the 17 Pro Max, and I was approved, and I accepted the card with a soft pull. They tried to do a hard pull a couple of hours later but it was blocked because I locked my credit. If I decide not to purchase the iPhone and cancel the card, will the Apple card still show up on my credit report as a closed account even though they did a soft pull?

Yes, it eventually shows. It might be a month or 2 or longer.

Your locked account stops a hard pull from a creditor that hasn’t reported an open account. Once GS reports an open account (remember you did open account) they have a right to pull your report and also report a closure. A lock/freeze only prevents unverified potential creditors from accessing your report. Once you accepted the account, you granted GS access.
