calendar appointments initiated from iPad air using Google Gmail account not syncing with iPhone 13

I have 2 Gmail accounts, one under iCloud & one under Google. When I initiate an iOS calendar appt on iPad Air using the Google Gmail account, not only does it not sync with iOS calendar on iPhone 13, but recipients of androids do not receive it. It didn't use to be that way. What to do, please??
