Lost calendar data after changing gmail password

Hoping someone can help. I had to change my gmail password, and when I logged back in, the calendar for that email said it couldn't sync, and none of my appointments were on the calendar. In looking up solutions, it was recommended to remove the email from the phone and add it back. When I did that, I lost all recent appointments again. My notes are missing, too. I pay extra for cloud storage, so that shouldn't be an issue.

iPhone 13, iOS 18

Your notes must have been tied to google account as is your calendar. This seems to be an issue with your Google Account, not an iPhone issue. If your notes and calendar entries were removed from the account, they were likely also removed from iCloud as iCloud is not a backup service, it is a syncing service. I'd recommend contacting Google for help with your account.
