incorrect flight times on calendar

I don’t understand why displaying flight times correctly is such a difficult task on an iPhone. The two settings within the calendar settings for time zone override on or off or completely useless.

here’s the issue: if I am flying from one time zone, connecting in a second time zone and then arriving in a third time zone all of the times for all of my flights should always be displayed as the local time in that city. This never happens no matter what you select for time zone override. It simply continues to show the time based on your current location. Why would I care what the local time is in my old location where the first flight originated when I am now at the new destination? This is the simplest thing and yet it is undoubtedly the most complicated issue with everything related to a cell phone all for no reason.
