Is there a method to display the time while in fullscreen mode?

Hi,

I often watch videos in fullscreen. When I use Safari or VLC to watch videos in full screen mode on my Mac, the clock in the menu bar is hidden, and I can’t easily check the time. Having to move the mouse to the top frequently is inconvenient. Is there a way to always show the time while in full screen mode, whether through settings or other applications?

Thank you!

I used to have this problem as well, and it was quite frustrating. The “fn + m” keyboard shortcut works, but it’s about as inconvenient as hovering the mouse, since you can’t use it when you’re focused on any text field.

I tried some clock widget apps, but none of them fit my preferences or worked well in fullscreen mode.

Recently, I discovered an app called Corner Time, which works great on my M1 Pro MacBook. It always show the time in full screen mode or whenever the menu bar is hidden, and doesn’t block any apps on the built-in display. However, it can cover other windows when using an external monitor. It’s a paid app, but overall the experience is pretty good. If your main screen is also a notched MacBook’s built-in display, I highly recommend it.

Tested with Safari and VLC 3.0.12.
