Google Calendar and iCal Emailing About Events

I have my Google Calendar on iCal now but when an event comes up I get 3 emails from me Me account to my Google account. I have it setup in my Google account to email me before an event. How do I stop getting the emails from me me.com account?

Calendar syncing emails Suddenly I have all kinds of emails syncing to my calendar as “events” such as coupons, last-minute deals, even newsletters. This is happening on both my phone (which is not Apple) and my iPad which is obviously an Apple product. I don’t know what weird setting I’ve turned on in my email, but I don’t want to toggle off all even syncing and lose the ability to automatically have my emails for appointments sync into my calendar. How do I choose certain emails to be synced instead of all of them so I can stop these notifications? I use gmail if that is helpful. Thank you!
