Text message history disappeared on the Messages app after iOS 18.4.1 update

Since updating to 18.4.1, the text message history for 2 of my contacts has disappeared. One instance was on 2 May 2025 and one was today, 5 May. This has only happened for 2 contacts. I did not accidentally delete the history :)

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Missing text messages after updating to iOS 18 I did the 17.01 (i think update) last night and then followed that with the 18. upgrade and then noticed this morning that I lost all text messages in the following time periods: 3/23/23-9/8/24 2/22/21-to the date above 9/25/19-to the date above the weirdest thing.. i thought these would all be saved to the cloud [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Automatic message deletion for a specific contact on iPhone my phone is deleting my messages just with one person. It’s automatically deleting after a few hours, my only text messages that are saved are after October 24th. Anyone else going through this? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
