I need your help. One SSD is now two identical ssd's ???

I am using a brand new M4 Mac Studio Max with Mac OS 15.5. I have an 1 GB Hynix Gold S31 3D Nand SATA Gen 3 SSD that I wanted to use to transfer information onto from another drive using my most favorite disk utility Carbon Copy Cloner. Everything started out okay but the process stopped because the drive I was copying from suddenly disappeared and is the reason I wanted to copy the information off it. That is another issue I'll have to deal with. The real issue I have is: the ssd that I was copying to was no longer a single ssd but two separate ssd's with separate names and ID's and the exact same 1GB available space. I proved this by unplugging the drive and both drives disappeared at exactly the same time plugged the drive back in and they Both showed at the same time, weird. I tried erasing the drives, tried reformatting, I did repairs on both drives, initiated both drives and they both acted as though they were independent drives. I tried to turn the two drives into a JBOD R.A.I.D but Apple Disk Utility did not recognize them as two different volumes and appeared exactly normal independent SSD's. I looked for other ways to recombine the drives to no avail. I removed the drive from its enclosure thinking it may be the firmware in the enclosure. The new enclosure was the same. Help !!!
