Unable to find deleted text messages after recovery on my iPhone

I recently deleted text messages between myself and an android user. I recovered them immediately and they came back, however now if I search for a text message, they do not show up. Any idea how to get them to show in the search?

Why are my text messages missing on my iPhone? My settings show to keep text messages forever. Many of my received text messages are missing unless I search for them. I can’t always remember what I need to search for. But when I do, the search will bring up the message.
