iphone 14 not receiving text notifications

I have not been able to receive text notifications for at least a week now. when I tap on a text icon and uncheck "hide alerts" and go back to the main message page and slide the same contact left I see that the bell now has a slash through it. when I tap the bell and remove the slash, hide alerts is toggled on when I go back in and tap the icon.

Notifications aren't working on my iPhone 15 Pro Max All of a sudden, I’m not getting notified that texts are coming in and it’s not showing the number of texts. When I go into my text, I see that I have text but I’m not being notified. Also, when people call me, my ringer isn’t working either. And both my ringer and the notifications are all on and the sound is turned up. I recently had an update, but,I’m not sure if that’s what the problem is. My iPhone is no longer notifying me when text messages arrive Perhaps since the latest software upgrade, my iPhone is no longer placing a "notification" message on the front screen when a new text message arrives. Notifications are turned-on in general and for the Message app in particular, yet nothing shows up.
