How do I hear notifications on AirPods in silent mode without Siri announcements?

I want when i wear my airpods to hear notifications in silent mode but not with announcements with siri

Help with airpod notifications I’m getting notifications on my AirPods but it’s way quieter than the volume I’m listening to my AirPods. I mean so quiet I thought my phone was just going silent and possibly disconnecting but when i went somewhere quiet and listened I heard a faintest Siri voice. I have no too loud notices in lash 6 months and this just started happening. Anyone have any suggestions?

Mute or Skip Notification on AirPods just once I want to stop Siri from reading a notification on my AirPods? Not completely stop, I still want it announced, but if I don't need it to read the whole thing, or if I'm talking with someone in person, I want to be able to skip / mute that reading. Ideas? Again, I don't want to turn off notifications completely. I just want to know how to stop one being read one-off.
