App Store not showing password or Touch ID option

Hi, I have followed many posts on logging out and back in, checking payment method, even removing the need for a password or ID. When I click install even on a free app it opens a window like it would then ask for authorisation and then that's it.. it stays there until I press cancel. Any thoughts other than are installing? Thanks

Update: So now if I disconnect the Magic Keyboard it will download free apps and ask for a password on paid, matching the settings for this. However when the keyboard is connected it brings up a little window that would normally have the touch instruction, but nothing. The Touch ID works for everything else including logging onto this site.. I even did a recovery reinstall. :-(
