How do I disconnect Bluetooth automatically when closing MacBook Air lid?

How do I disconnect my headphones automatically when Macbook air is closed? I have an M2 Macbook air running Sequoia. My old Macbook air used to do that automatically.

Not so much automatic, but your Bluetooth system setting/preference offers a menubar icon for Bluetooth. Enable the icon, and click on it before you stop using Bluetooth. It will appear near your clock. Plus closing the lid in a desktop configuration can sometimes be useful. If you plan to travel with your Mac, shut it down. A Mac or any laptop while traveling can wake up with the lid closed and overheat.
