Why is my iPhone glitchy?

Hey folks. I posted a month or so ago about opening an Email that I thought was genuine. Clicked on a link that didn’t work and almost downloaded a PDF of an invoice that wasn’t configured properly and wasn’t compatible. Instantly closed everything down when I noticed it was fishy.

I mentioned how I had McAfee security installed as well as a VPn when this happened. Didn’t enter any of my private information either

needless to say I did a factory reset a week or so after. But the backup I reset from was from after this event.

I’ve done two of the IOS 18 updates and I’ve noticed that a few of my apps are glitchy, occasionally it’ll be a little slow and when I go on some apps it’ll look like it’s blinking.

Ive read up that iPhones are less susceptible to viruses and malware but it’s been a month now and it’s still freaking me out. I’m half paranoid I have a virus or malware or that I’ve been hacked.

I’ve read the new iOS is a little glitchy so it’s half putting me at ease.

any advice for a long time iPhone user?

I know. My VPN was running on my mobile data when it happened.

my mobile provider I spoke to in the shop said I’ve literally done everything I can.

I even changed all the passwords on my phone and apple accounts etc

And are all these glitchy things I’m seeing bugs in iOS and not anything malicious?

cos I’ve got no apps I don’t recognise and no spikes in my data or unusual charges in my bill

I’ve got an iPhone 16

The only malicious items on your phone are VPN and McAffee.

You have no apps?? Thise are two really bad ones. try without them but ensure you use the corect uninstall procedures as they are both like gum on your shoe.
