Any issues with the latest iOS 18.3.2 software?

How’s the latest iOS 18.3.2 update? Did anyone face issues with it?

Just wanted to know before I update my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 18

The camera on my iPhone 15 just shows a black screen since updating to iOS 18.3.2.

Have try all the resets suggested without success. Going to Apple Store (which is 50 miles away!) this weekend to see if they can help.

I have spoken with Apple and they have no solution for this issue. I can receive group texts but am unable to respond to them. I have spoken with several people over the past few days who are having the same issue. It is Apple’s App so it is their problem to solve. This problem arose after the March 11 update. That is the only common denominator therefore, the conclusion is there’s a problem with the update.

No, it is not the carrier. The problem arose when IOS 18.3.2 was put out. That is the common denominator with all of us who are having this issue. Nothing else changed other than this update. Apple needs to step up and fix the problem!

You conveniently didn't answer my question. IS ANYONE IN THE GROUP not an iPhone user? The fact it happened with an iOS update, still doesn't make it an Apple caused issue. When Apple rolls out an update, it's up to your carrier to roll out an update to your phone as well.

The groups were already established before this latest update occurred. I had the Apple tech on screen sharing so they could see my devices. I really don’t have hours and hours to do troubleshooting. I can work around the issue but it is extremely frustrating when I did nothing to change my devices. I just want the problem fixed.

i will go out and see if the Android users are having issues also. At this point, it seems to be only us Apple users.

And you have just proved my point. There are Android users, so none of the messages are being sent or received via Apple's iMessage. The issue is NOT with Apple. The messages are being send and received by your carrier. You can wait for Apple on this, but since Apple isn't a carrier and they don't send or receive SMS Messages, your wait may be in vain. You are free to place the blame on Apple if you want. Even if the blame really isn't placed where it belongs.

You take care and I hope your issue is resolved at some point.

So, who is your carrier? If you have a mixed group, you have multiple devices and multiple carriers. This could just as easily be a carrier issue. In asking your group about issues you’ll need to create a poll for devices, manufactures, OS versions and cellular carriers. Once you learn those factors, you may start to see a pattern.

AT&T.

I have tried those switches. Is there a way to talk with Apple and AT&T at the same time?

After doing more research it seems as if it is Verizon not enabling RCS and/or Android phones. I’m thinking at this point, to pull out all the non Apple texters in the group, then starting a separate group for them. It seems awfully cumbersome but I see it as a possible workaround. I do use WhatsApp and that doesn’t appear to have these issues.

I have had success in the past with Apple Support but I seem to be running into a stumbling block with this issue.

I did just that once. I called AT&T (they are also my carrier) and asked them to conference Apple into the call and they did. You also should consider you may not have an issue at all. The problem could be on the side of other members in your group chat. There are a LOT of variables involved in group texts.

If Face ID is not working for a particular app, then I suggest that you check Settings>Face ID & Passcode, then see if the app or apps in question are listed there for using Face ID. You can try turning them off for the particular app, then go back in and try activating it for that app again.

I'm having a similar issue. The actual camera app works fine for me but if I am using any other app (Snapchat, Instagram, Fetch) these apps will only let me use the front facing camera. A couple of times Snapchat has shown me a black front facing camera screen as well. I hope they are able to provide you with some answers!

There are always risks associated with updates. But as an Apple user since about 1993, advantages have always outweighed the risks.

I have categories and icons disabled, that is not the problem. I have my mail setup the same on my pc as I do on my phone. So I did a test on my pc, I sent an email, saved a draft and deleted an email. On my pc it showed them in the standard sent folder, draft folder and trash folder. When I open the mail app on my phone they are in the newly created folders:
"Deleted Messages"
"Drafts"
"Sent Messages"
Strange

Nothing strange about it. That is a new feature of Apple Mail. I already posted how to turn off that feature.

That what ticks me off is that the settings on my iPhone and iCloud are identical, this should not be happening and it all started after the iOS 18.3.2 update. I frequently check my mail on a pc and later on my phone and never had this issue. Thanks for all the help though, much appreciated to all.
