Does parental controls affect app logins on son's iPhone?

My 13 year old son has an iPhone that I’ve downloaded some apps onto which have member services. When I go to log in to access the member services (as opposed to the free content), it won’t allow me. I am able to login on my devices and the app is set up to be able to be logged into from multiple devices. Is there some kind of parental control I can override to allow me to log in on his phone?
