Unable to resize the Calendar grid on my MacBook Air

Hi everyone, I have an issue with the calendar app. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bug, but it’s definitely frustrating and so annoying. When I open the app and view the weekly schedule, I can't resize the grid enough to see my entire day. On my MacBook, I can only view a 10-hour window (like 8 AM – 8 PM), which makes it difficult to plan and organize my schedule.

On my iPad, I can reduce the grid and see a broader time range, from 8 AM to 11 PM ( I’d actually like to see even more). However, on MacBook, this limitation is really inconvenient for productivity.

Is there any way to adjust this setting on macOS, or is it just how the app works? :(

thanks in advance

Thank you kindly for your thoughtful reply, and for sharing your experience.

Wondering if events at other times than those displayed may show up if they are added as events first.

By searching the above user guide for MacOS Sequoia, just found this article:

Change the days and times displayed in Calendar on Mac - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Calendar has several options for customising how many days and hours are shown. You can customise Week view to show all seven days of the week or just Monday to Friday. You can customise Day and Week views so that the Calendar window shows from 6 to 24 hours of events per day, and you can mark when your day starts and ends.

  1. Go to the Calendar app  on your Mac.
  2. Choose Calendar > Settings, then click General, then choose options from the pop-up menus.

To choose whether times are shown in 12-hour or 24-hour time format, change Language & Region settings."

Mac calendar app issue

Hello. Am not sure how you use your Calendar, or what settings you may have in place.

Am still using an earlier MacOS version (where viewing a 'day' in iCal shows 12 am to 12 am) on my Mac

I usually have a month viiew, which is limiting, so click "day", when wanting to see a certain day's planning.

thank you for the answer.

On Mac with the daily view I see 12 hours too, but it's not enough and I always use the weekly o, rarely, the monthly one.

I think that the calendar app is made this way. I don't think I can change any setting. It's just poorly made, not well done. Even 14 hours on the iPad wouldn't be enough. I need to see my entire day / week (at least from 6 am to midnight to be able to manage properly my schedule). Apple is disappointing me a lot this period. :(
