QuickTime screen recording is not working I am trying to record the screen in QuickTime on my MacBook Pro. I have been able to do it in the past. Now when I click on the QuickTime app a Finder window pops open. After I cancel it and go to File the New Screen Recording is gray. I only get capture when I use Control/Command/5. Quicktime Player menu completely disappears when screen recording. (the ESC key does nothing) When I go to take a screen recording on a selected part of the screen the menu completely disappears, there is no "top menu bar" as mentioned in other forum questions, and the ESC key does not do anything at all, also holding down the ALT/command key does not pause the recording. I can simply do nothing except quit the program and lose the recording. Clicking on the application also does nothing. I have been reading forums and researching for a solution and nothing fixes this. I have had to download alternative software, I guess it's just a dud.

Quicktime quits recording I am running Quicktime 10.5 on Ventura 13.3 on a MacBook Air. I am trying to record the room, and almost every recording stops on its own anywhere between 10-35 minutes. I am trying to take hour-long recordings. Out of 15 recordings, only four have recorded my whole session. Some of them will record the whole session, but 40 minutes will be the final frame of my clicking stop with the correct audio underneath. I have tried changing the settings as shown on the internet. This is driving me crazy and making my job difficult. HELP!! Can I buy an app that will record the room on the macs camera?
