How can I import live photos from iPhone 15 into Final Cut Pro without losing animation?

I am trying to use the software and import from an iPhone 15 to a Mac with FCP. The pics come through as regular JPEG files. I have tried changing the setting to keep the data and send that way but then they come through as folders and I still can't use them.

In the Photos app export them as Unmodified Originals. That will give you 2 files, one is a still and the other a .mov file in a 1920x1440 aspect.

I believe that the only way is to import them through photos, they will come as a video at 15fps.
