ipod touch will not start without charger
My ipod touch gen 6 will not start up without the charger. I plug the charger in and it starts. Then the battery indicator states it is low, at first, but quickly charges to high percentages.

It sounds like the battery in your iPod has failed.
You will most likely need have to have it replaced with a new one.
Luckily it seems that Apple still offers battery replacements for 6th and 7th generation iPods, but availability may depend on which country or region you live.
