TikTok isn’t banned anymore why can’t I redownload it

There is use of the app for TikTok but it is unavailable on the App Store even though they no longer have it restricted in the U.S.

ByteDance did start restoring service after it had shut it off before the ban went into affect, but don't confuse that with the ban being lifted. They shut it down early in retaliation and now are hoping there will be a change. We will all have to wait and see what happens and no one can speculate here. As seen in the article, at this point in time Apple and Google could still face fines by allowing users to download the app from their stores. It has been reported that this fine is $5000 per user download and that has not been lifted.
