Not possible.

Your iPhone 6 is not compatible with iOS 13 – let alone iOS 17. iOS 12 is the end of the line.

About iOS 12 Updates - Apple Support

If you want an iPhone that can run iOS 17 or 18, you need to buy a new iPhone to replace the outdated iPhone 6, a phone released more than ten years ago. The iPhone 6 has only 1 GB of RAM and does not have a Neural Engine. Every iPhone that can run iOS 17 or 18 has a Neural Engine and at least 3 GB of RAM – and most have more than 3 GB.

Apple won't give you any trade-in credit for an iPhone 6. That phone is too old. But once you have purchased a newer phone, and transferred your data, you may want to recycle the old phone. I believe that Apple will accept phones for recycling for free.
