Disable magnetic mask when apply blur effect

During the latest update for Final Cut Pro, there is a new magnetic mask feature. It's great but sometimes not accurate.

Before the update, when I drag the blur effect onto the clip, it will automatically apply a shape mask on it. After the update, it becomes the magnetic mask.

My question is: is there any way to change back to automatically apply a shape mask instead of magnetic mask? it has become a hassle to remove magnetic mask and select shape mask for each clip.

Thank you!

Yes, it is in Final Cut Pro->Settings->General.

You can choose what to do when dragging an effect over a clip: add a magnetic mask or, as before, add a tracker.

Of course, you can also just drag the effect over the clip in the timeline (instead of the viewer), and then manually add any masks you need in the Inspector.
