Can I renew the Server certificate via the command line?

My High Sierra with Server.app has partly dies after installing the final security update. WindowServer will naot launch because of its signature. The basic stuff runs, e.g. I can log in to it with ssh.

It also boots fine in Safe mode, but when I do that I cannot log in to Server.app as Open Directory isn't running.

Is there a way to renew the server certificate outside of theServer.app?
