How to delete Image playground from my iMac M3 and MacBook Air M1?

Deleting Image playground for my iPhone was easy. How do I delete this thing form my Mac's? It just won't go to the trash.

On 25 05-2025 auto-magical installed by Apple.

Siri language is not the same as system language

Because of my disability I can't use Siri.

Apple this is getting pathetic, please fix this.

And I hate the lack of control on my own computer, somebody had to say this.

That's right. On a Mac, Image Playground is an integral part of MacOS and it can't be removed. You may own your computer, but Apple owns MacOS. There are loads of things built into the OS you can't remove. If you don't want to use Image Playground, don't use it, like you likely don't use every single thing built into your Mac as it is.

Is your Siri language different from your system language because of Apple Intelligence?

Ultimately however, you aren't speaking with Apple here. This is a user to user only forum and no one from Apple will see or read your comments.

Not on my iPhone or my iPad, actually or my iMac

I can delete the surface app, but it still takes up the space and as far as I can tell it does not get removed even if I force a download of a terabyte of music.

We don’t need the generative rubbish. It genuinely does not do a thing for 99.9% of the whole world

and it’s more annoying that I can’t delete some apps on the Mac that I can delete on the iPad and iPhone

I'm not censoring you. If you want to complain, I'm suggesting you complain where Apple will see your complaint. Complaining here might make you feel better, but there is not one person who can tell you how to remove built in components/applications in MacOS. And no one from Apple participates here or will read your posts.

Is there any part of this is a USER TO USER only forum and as such we can't change how Apple manages their operating systems you don't understand? NO ONE here can effect the changes you seek.

But why are apps that people don’t use, included in that system partition.

No one has explained the necessity for them to be there. They’ve just said that they are there and we have to accept it.

Why do I need chess? Why do I need a calculator when I have an iPhone?

absolutely no applications that are not absolutely necessary for the operation of the operating system should be in the system partition.

All of them should be deletable because they are pointless and take up space if you don’t use them.

And if you can’t see that as a reasonable, I don’t know what’s wrong with you

I personally didn't mind it on my phone or ipad or my Mac. I know that all manufacturers add bloatware into their software and make you accept it, and that it takes away from your storage. For Apple Macbooks, that can be a dreadful thing as they can come in such small capacity.

For me, I simply don't use it. I tried it once and yes, it is horrible and terribly inaccurate, and places the main image front and center like a person posing for a photograph, which I don't like. If I type something like "knight fighting a fire breathing dragon" I get a "cute" anime knight with a dragon that's all smiles and "cute" itself. Apple has Disneyfied their AI which makes this thing utterly useless for me.

It's fun to mess around with, but soon the fun wear off as you realize who this is meant for which is small children. It's not really meant for adults, it can't be, with all the "cute" and anime kiddie imagery. I am sure Apple never meant for this app to be directed towards adults.

It's fine if you want to speak for yourself. But you can't speak for Apple, nor can you speak for me. I enjoy Image Playground. I'm a 70 year old man. Are you suggesting I'm an immature 70 year old man? Rather presumptuous of you, if you are.

People are allowed to voice their opinions on here, it's a community where discussions - not always positive - are going to be had, and that's ok. I think it's a valid when people spend thousands of dollars on a piece of equipment that they are entitled to feel disappointed where they don't feel it provides the customisation or quality they want. Do you they own Apple? No, of course not. But they absolutely do own the computer, so they are absolutely allowed to have negative feelings about what they own. It's like saying 'since the last update, there's a shelf in my fridge that heats things up now.' Well you don't own the fridge company so stop complaining, just don't use the shelf. It's condescending and derivative.

And one last thing; you absolutely can remove whatever you want from Windows. Regardless of consequences.

Maybe you can with Windows, which is why I got rid of Windows based computers/laptops LONG ago. If you think Windows does it better, maybe you should go back to Windows? Otherwise, you've been told by enough of us that you can't remove what you think you should be able to remove on a Mac. There's really no point in continuing to argue with fellow users, none of whom have anything to do with Apple.

I don't want Apple Intelligence

Image Playground installed by Apple in May 2025

I don't want a not working program like Image Playground.

Perhaps in the US Apple can get away with this, but AFAIK this is illegal EU.

It is NOT illegal in the EU. And next year something else new may be added to MacOS. We've told you that if you don't like it, you are welcome to buy something else. No one on this user to user only forum, cares what you think or do.
