Sequoia and the printer issue

I updated my MasBook Air to macOS Sequoia last Friday and immediately got a message that my printer would not work because the printer "kernel extension" was no longer supported. The page with the explanation is found in the Apple site. After contacting HP and finding out they couldn't help at all because my printer was too old, I had no solution other than buying another printer, as I work out of my home. The new printer has just arrived but it will be returned in unopened box because yesterday my husband just turned off the router and turned it back on in a last try to solve the problem, and, that's right, the printer reappeared and worked perfectly. I really don't know why Apple stated I couldn't use my printer after the update! The problem had nothing to do with the update, it was a lost connection. All that drama for nothing! If any of you have a similar problem, don't panic just yet, it may not be related to the update at all.
