iCloud Photos and iPhone storage
I have iCloud and all the selected options to save photos to iCloud, but for some reason, when I go to iPhone storage, it tells me 6Gbs are from the Photos app. Why is that and how can I fix it?
iPhone XR, iOS 16

Yes. They always will be. You can optimize storage to keep lower resolution versions on device and originals in iCloud. iCloud Photos is a synchronization service, not offline only storage or a backup.
