Missing Photos on iCloud

Hi everyone,

According to the iCloud Control Panel, about 600 GB of my storage is being used for photos and videos. However, when I open the Photos app on my Mac, I can only find about 60 GB of photos.

I’ve already enabled the “Show Hidden Albums” option, but that didn’t make any difference.

Does anyone know where the remaining 500+ GB might be or how I can locate them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Do you have the "Optimize Max Storage" suboption of iCloud Photos enabled in Photos enabled on your Mac? If so, then the most reasonable explanation is that you are achieving a 10:1 optimization factor, which is high but within the bounds of possibility.

How do the counts of items (photos and videos) in the Photos app on your Mac and on iCloud.com compare?
