Macbook as a display, keyboard and trackpad for Mac mini

Hello I want to buy a Mac mini and don't want to buy Magic Keyboard and trackpad so Im wondering if I can use my MacBook as a external display and also use it's keyboard and trackpad for the Mac mini.

thank you

You'll need a monitor, mouse and keyboard initially to get the Mac mini up. After that you could use Screen Sharing or perhaps Universal Control, or one of the third-party screen sharing utilities. But IMHO you probably will be better served by giving the mini its own peripherals. You don't need to buy an Apple keyboard and trackpad; pretty much any USB keyboard and USB or Bluetooth mouse will work.

Regards.
