Whatsapp photos in Gallery

Every photo I took with my whatsapp camera is blurry in the iPhone Gallery. But as soon as I look it up in Whatsapp itself they are sharp. Also when I send the photo from my gallery to someone via whatsapp its also sharp again. Only when I look them up in the iPhone Gallery they are blurry like low quality?? How is that possible?
