It's worked beautifully for many years, now it plays for 30 seconds up to several minutes then pauses. After a while it starts up again. I found an article that said to empty the Quicktime library then restart and then return the items to the library, but there is no Quicktime library on this computer.

OK. Nevermind. turns out to be faulty files. I tried two and got the same result. I can't imagine what the odds against that would be, but there ya go.
