Notes: the Note Content Column is Blank

Hello

I just setup my new Mac Mini M4 Pro and migrated from my 2013 Mac Pro. I normally keep the Notes app open on one of my screens, full page. So it has the Folders on the left, list of notes to the right of that and then the note content on the right. This is only showing the folder & list of notes, with the note content column is just blank and black.

I do not have any notes locked. I did notice, if I double click any of the notes in the list column, it does open in a new window with the content. I have checked the tool bar and all of the menus and could not find anything that works. Any ideas how to fix this?
