Trying to delete Capital One Shopping App

I am following online advice to delete the Capital One Shopping but I cannot find a delete, cancel or uninstall button anywhere. In the meantime, there is an "S" to the left of my search bar that I can't get rid of and it layers my searches over other lettering and just makes a mess of my search. HELP!
