Strange problem . I can easily air drop photos from an iPhone 8 Plus to an older MacBook Pro’s “ photos”, but when I try air-dropping photos to a newer MacBook Air, the air’s screen indicates the images went to “ downloads” yet nothing is received there. Where are the photos ? How can I set my MacBook Air to receive images into “ photos” ? Thanks !
My AirDrops go to the Downloads folder. In fact, when an AirDrop comes in, my Downloads folder automatically opens for me. You don't say, but I'm using Sequoia 15.1.1
I'm surprised, on doing a Finder search, that I seem to have 5 folders on my Mac named "Downloads."
including one in iCloud Drive. Could you be looking in the wrong one?
