High frequency buildup near Nyquist frequency in Logic Steinway, not shown in EQ Analyser

Hi all,

Two things I noticed:

In Logic's Steinway Grand Piano 2 on the internal sampler there is a strong buildup of very high frequencies around the Nyquist frequency, right up to 22,05 kHZ. (Yes, I am working with 44,1 and not 96 kHz, and this is not the point I want to make here.)

In comparison, this frequency buildup does not happen in the beautiful Fazioli of EZKeys3.

Also, Logic's own analyser in the EQ ignores these frequencies completely, while both FabFilter Pro-Q 3 and Plugin Alliance Three-Body Technology Kirchhoff-EQ show them perfectly.

Logic Steinway:

EZKeys3 Fazioli:

The difference is very obvious. As these frequencies are not audible, filtering everything above 15 kHz with 24 dB/octave helps, but shouldn't be necessary. If ignored, this can really mess up a mix and master. I had always wondered why that particular instrument makes a funny distortion sound when compressed. Now I know, I guess. BTW, the EQ settings used here make no difference, the high frequencies are just as present when the EQ is turned off.

Any ideas?
