How can I clear my Apple Music song queue quickly?

has become intolerable after my iphone updated to ios 18.1 yesterday. Now it creates a song queue in an already created song queue (my own playlists!!!!!!). You cannot clear the song queue, only remove one song at a time, which I love while driving (clearly not). I only use this garbage app because I have an itunes match subscription, so have no other choice. Has anyone else come up with a workaround for this?

Maybe it's time to start getting rid of Apple altogether. I've had no itunes match service across any of my devices either for the past twelve months, but their developers have all the time in the world to progress their software to 'creating song queues within an already existing song queue'.

Re: "How can I clear my Apple Music song queue quickly?"

Apple support's onlne article for iOS18 : Queue up your music on iPhone - Apple Support

says you can:

"Manage the queue

  1. Go to the Music app on your iPhone.
  2. While a song is playing, tap the MiniPlayer to open the Now Playing screen.
  3. Tap , then

Remove all songs from the queue: Tap Clear at the top of the queue."

There's lots more "how to" info. in the above article,

and in other articles like it in the Music App info. in the iPhone User Guide: iPhone User Guide - Apple Support

Re: "I've had no itunes match service"

Seems iTunes Match is part of Apple Music, Podcasts, Apple tv, etc. ... I don't know much about iTunes Match.

Maybe some-one with iTunes Match experience may join the discussion ?

Else:

You could look in your Apple Music Library, or you could likely redownload purchased songs to the Music Library

Apple support's online articles are often helpful in catching up with the latest info., and recent changes:

If you want, you can: Use Sync Library with your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support

and

What to do: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support

or

See how to" Redownload music from the iTunes Store on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

All the best :-)

Hello BrBo

The below screenshots are my options to manage Apple's created song queues in my own created playlists. There is no option to clear their song queue.

Regarding itunes match subscription the below screenshot is the actual service they are suppose to provide. The below description of the Service is Apple's 'own words'. If I want to access even a PART of this service now I have to navigate my way through the Apple Music App, the Movies App., Apple Mobile Device Support, itunes store for IOS and itunes for windows. After all of that rubbish I'm still not receiving a full and proper service. I wouldn't bother contacting Apple support for that reason alone. Apple Music and it's Application have nothing whatsoever to do with itunes match. They basically flung the option to sync your library onto IOS within the App and then called it an 'itunes match' subscription.

Thank you anyway for your response.

The service is designed to let you store up to 25,000 songs in iCloud that can be accessed from any Apple device at any time. Music you have purchased through the iTunes Store does not count against your maximum capacity. Every song that you've added to your music library in iTunes

via CD or digital download, including music from the iTunes Store or another

source, can be stored in iTunes Match. Any time you add new music, whether from a CD, through the

iTunes Store, or from another digital download, it will automatically be

uploaded or added to iTunes Match. Once synced, you will be able to access the

new music across all of your devices.
