CarPlay isn’t displaying text and Siri is automatically announcing it

I updated my 14 pro max and now I am no longer prompted when a test comes in. I have done every setting possible and then Siri was automatically speaking my messages all of a sudden. I don’t want to automatically speak my text I want for the prompts to come

back and I press it so it will speak and for her to ask if I want to respond.
