Still no function on apple mail to see if a mail was read, besides asking recipient to let you know?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.6
I haven't used read receipt for over 15 or longer on a mac. I am not sure is there is even a option in Mail for it (correct me if I am mistaken)

That's a good thing. I do not want spammer/phishers getting a read receipt from me that confirms they have reached a valid email address. If you could force a read receipt from me I would block you and never again see an email from you.
