Mapping apps errors

Good day all. I am having an issue with several mapping apps when connecting to CarPlay. This occurs with Maps, Google Maps, Waze and Mapquest so I am thinking it is some setting on my phone. For some reason when the app first connects to the vehicle it shows me as being out in the Gulf of Mexico. After a while it corrects itself and works properly. It does however, reset after mapping an address and show me as back in the Gulf again (eventually correcting itself).

I have the current software (IOS 18.1) and have location services set to “always” with precise location selected.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
