IPad 13 issues.
I bought the new IPad Pro 13 pro Max in May, mid August it Failed, it just would not boot. Apple sent the first replacement 2 days later.
Mid September the replacement failed, same issue, took it off charge around 06:00 and it just would not boot up.
This time calling apple support, they asked If I would talk to an Apple tech, which I did for almost 3 hours. No progress in fixing the problem.
I was then asked if I would take it into Apple Store at Lakeside for them to take a look at. I was a little miffed at this, as when purchasing the original in May, I took out the Apple upgraded 2 year warranty, which Apples commits to a next day courier delivery of a replacement. This time around it was take it into our Lakeside Store, 1 hour 30 minutes round trip, sounded a little mistrusting to me on Apples part.
On taking it into Lakeside I was met with a very friendly Apple tech who asked if he could run some tests. I said “yes” but not if it’s going to last 3 hours. Anyway, he gave up after 10 minutes and got me a new iPad out of stock. Actually he said it was the last one in the store.
If as a number people have blogged, Apple do actually have a problem with the iPad 13 they should remove it from sale until the problem had been fixed.
I have been buying Apple kit now for over 30 years and luckily I have never had any major problems relying on kit replacement to cure reliability issues
