Trying to mark scheduled appointments as done / completed thus stopping the nagging alerts from my Apple series 10 watch

Are you asking about the actual third-party app called "Alarmd" or is this a problem you're having with one of the built in Apple apps? The built in calendar will stop alerting you after the event has occurred.
Third party app “Alarmed” I get notifications on watch. Have options to snooze for 15 minutes, mark as done or dismiss. When I select done or dismiss the notifications continue every few seconds until I get my phone out. When I’m up on a ladder with my hands full it would be nice to acknowledge the alarm from the watch.
