Investigation Request – iPhone 7 Plus Battery Safety

On November 15, 2024, my iPhone 7 Plus, given to my mother, caught fire after just 30 minutes of charging. Thankfully, she was nearby to put out the flames, averting a larger fire. This incident has raised serious safety concerns, especially as I travel frequently and charge my phone during flights. A similar issue could pose a risk to personal and public safety. And if the battery of the iPhone 7 Plus had been replaced, make sure it was done by a qualified technician using a genuine iPhone battery — as nongenuine batteries can cause fires:
