Airport still on even after days of not being used

Every day I come home from work my Airpods Pro keep connecting to my phone (indicated by my phone showing me the battery status of the case in the notch) although they have been in the drawer for days. My Airpods also show up in the battery widget. Why is this happening? I haven‘t tried disabeling „automatic ear detection“ yet but why would this make a difference if they sit in the drawer for days without being moved? I feel uncomfortable with the thought that my Airpods sit there and listen all the time…

Unpair your AirPods:

You AirPods will be seen, as long as they are paired with he iPhone. When it comes to Find My, note that AirPods are not assigned their own IP Address, and as a result, the location that you see is that of the device these are paired to.

How to Unpair:

  1. Go Here: Unpair, restart, or reset your AirPods - Apple Support
  2. As it Reads: "iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings, tap the name of your AirPods near the top of the screen, then tap Forget This Device. This removes the AirPods from all the devices where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account."

I don‘t want to unpair them because I use them occasionally. I only mentioned it as proof that they are turned on although they haven‘t been used for a while. They are not supposed to be seen in the batteries widget when not used or the lid of the case is being opened. I don‘t know exactly why you mention the location as I haven‘t asked anything about the location

A. AirPods being Seen:

Q1. "I don‘t want to unpair them because I use them occasionally. I only mentioned it as proof that they are turned on although they haven‘t been used for a while. They are not supposed to be seen in the batteries widget when not used or the lid of the case is being opened."

A1. They are not going to be activated, unless they are of the Same Serial Number, and are laying in each of your ears. So, have no worries on privacy for this matter --the microphone, nor the spear will work.

Find My:

Q2. "I don‘t know exactly why you mention the location as I haven‘t asked anything about the location"

A2. As for bringing up Find My, you are mentioning about being "uncomfortable" about these being seen. Find My will see these no matter where you are with your iPhone, even if the AirPods are not in your hands.
