My RAW photos in iPhone 12 showed up as gray boxes.

My RAW photos in iPhone 12 (w/Current OS) showed up as gray boxes. This caused me to miss some important shots. After a month of not being able to find an answer, I tried turning off the RAW setting in my iPhone. All photos since have been fine.

My question is: has anyone found a solution to use RAW and not have the gray boxes.
