New Yorker app not loading on iPad mini 6

Has anyone else had this problem? New Yorker app opens briefly then crashes. Removed background apps, reset iPad, re-installed the New Yorker app three times. Zilcho. Can pull up one section on Safari, but not the actual issues.


Customer service at Conde Nast was useless, hoping to get an email back soon.


All my other apps (WSJ, NYT, WaPo, SF Chronicle)-all loading fine w/current edition. So appears it's not the iPad.


Suggestions?

Hi Jeff,

Just wanted to update you: finally I fixed the New Yorker app or maybe it was the iPad mini 6. Hmmm. I downloaded the latest update from the iPad. Then reset it. Deleted the New Yorker app & installed a new one. Amazing.

Of course I had tried this same procedure dozens of time. The only thing that was different, I believe, was the update to 18.1.

What really made me crazy is on my husbands iPad pro 17.1 the NYer app was downloading new issues etc..no problem.

Anyway, would appreciate some insight from ASCers because the NYer customer service is still telling me their 'IT is working on it".

Was this the weirdness of the iPad mini 6?
