How to recover missing emails on my iMac?

After upgrading to Sequoia did back up from my external HD but my email app is empty, did not bring my email, any idea on how to recup?

In Mail-->Accounts-->Click on the Email Address. The next window appears and if you look at it you will see Delete Account.

In Mail-->Accounts, you should see at the bottom right Add Account to re-enter it.

Remove the email address from Mail and re-enter it using the appropriate email option for the address

I don't really understand from where do I remove and which is the appropriate email, can you explain better please?
